This is an exciting collaboration between Sacred Threads curators Lisa Ellis and Barbara Hollinger with the Broadway Galleries.
We are inviting textile artists to make art for a special show at the Broadway Gallery, in Alexandria, VA next summer, June 1 - August 31, 2022.
Broadway Gallery, established in 1978 in Northern Virginia, has provided fine art to the wholesale industry for over 40 years. We work directly with artists for representation to the public, focusing on architectural firms, interior designers, major corporations, foundations, and law firms throughout the D.C. Metropolitan region and beyond. We are greatly interested in exploring textiles as a fine art medium and introducing them to our industry partners.
Theme:
The theme for this exhibit is "Harmony". In a time when our world feels chaotic, we look for Harmony in our lives. Artists can use this word as a jumping off point to think about Harmony and what it means to you, your artwork, your time, your art practice, etc.
Any style or aesthetic of artwork is welcome. Use YOUR unique voice to show the gallery who you are as an artist.
